The church today faces unprecedented challenges in discipling young people. With constant digital distractions, declining biblical literacy, and a widening generational gap, many youth and young adults struggle to engage with traditional discipleship methods.
At Abundant Life Chapel in Largo, Maryland, we believe these challenges require both faithfulness to God’s Word and creativity in how it is shared. Just as Ezra once stood before the people and read God’s Word with clarity so they could truly understand it. “They read from the book, from the Law of God, clearly, and they gave the sense, so that the people understood the reading” (Neh. 8:8, ESV). This blog seeks to echo that same mission in our digital age. My prayer is that each post will bring clarity, accessibility, and real-life application of God’s Word for a generation often pulled in a thousand directions.
In this space, we’ll learn together how to let God’s Word guide our scrolling, shape our habits, and transform our digital routines into opportunities for discipleship. This blog is not meant to replace pastoral leadership but to support it, offering another avenue for young people and adults alike to grow in faith and engage in meaningful conversations. Through practical insights, spiritual encouragement, and stories that resonate with Gen Z, Millennials, and beyond, we aim to disciple across generations.
Our goal is simple yet urgent: to make discipleship accessible, engaging, and life-giving in today’s digital world.

Over the past few weeks, I had the opportunity to travel through Hong Kong, Macau, and Manila. Every city was alive. Phones were everywhere. People walked while texting, ate while watching videos, and waited in line with their eyes fixed on a screen. It reminded me that distraction isn't just a technology problem. It's a human problem.
